Job Summary
The IT Administrator will serve as the first point of contact for internal customers. This role involves performing routine helpdesk tasks, installing and supporting hardware and software, and handling general IT administrative duties. Additionally, the position supports ongoing global IT initiatives. The ideal candidate should be a self-motivated individual with a strong eagerness to learn and the capability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Principal Tasks
Desktop / laptop installation, configuration, and maintenance
Server installation, configuration, and maintenance
General IT Infrastructure installation, configuration and maintenance
Ability to troubleshoot problems and quickly identify and remedy issues
Familiarity with IT security principles, vulnerabilities and defenses
Experience working with R D engineering teams is preferred
Skills/Qualifications/Training/Experience
Education:
High School Diploma minimum
2-5 years’ experience in desktop support role in a medium sized organization administering multiple desktop and laptop hardware
Basic IPV4 network knowledge
Windows 10 / 11
Windows Active Directory familiarity
OS patch installation and management
Office 365 with Intune and Teams
Ability to evaluate, create, or update internal processes and procedures
Ability to troubleshoot problems and quickly identify and remedy issues
Ability to troubleshoot basic network problems
Linux knowledge a plus
Requirements & Work Environment
Hybrid, 3 office days
Work will require standing, stooping, bending, pushing and pulling. Ability to lift, move or carry up to 50 pounds on a consistent basis. Specific vision abilities include close vision, and distance vision.
