IS Systems Administrator Shift:

Saturday and Sundays 8pm

  • 8am AND 2 week days 4pm
  • midnight Education Required
  • High school diploma or equivalent Preferred
  • Additional degrees, business training experience and/or certifications may be combined to meet minimum qualifications Work Experience Required
  • 6 years IT experience 2 years of IT experience with a Master’s degree OR Bachelor’s OR 4 years IT experience with an Associate’s degree Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs) Must have computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of information.

Must be proficient with Windows-style applications and keyboard. Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals throughout required job processes. Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures. Proficiency working iwth databases, on-line solutions, and programming languages. Analytical skills and logical thought process in order to formulate solutions to problems. Ability to and experience with working under stressful situations to be objective and professional at all times. Ability to and experience with working with frequent interruptions and frequent changes in priorities. Ability to move throughout and between campuses. Ability for occasional out of town travel. Ability to work flexibile schedule such as nights, weekends, extended shifts, etc. Job Duties

  • Facilitates the day-to-day operation of the infrastructure and maintains proper levels of system and data availability.
  • Monitors and maintains proper levels of system and data back-ups.
  • Installs system and software upgrades.
  • Troubleshoots and maintains data communications hardware, software, and peripheral devices supporting the infrastructure.
  • Coordinates and schedules activities with Support staff to ensure timely installation of equipment.
  • Monitors network traffic, conducts performance evaluations. Identifies, document, executes and escalates necessary adjustments to the environment to ensure peak performance.
  • Assist in the research, development, testing and implementation of new networking function, technologies, applications and/or systems used throughout the system.
  • Provides installation and support of the infrastructure.
