Job Description:

We are seeking a DevOps Engineer with a strong background in embedded software development to support a client project focused on Yocto-based Linux systems. This role will involve building and maintaining embedded Linux environments, managing build infrastructure, and integrating CI/CD workflows. The ideal candidate is experienced with Bitbake, GitHub Actions, and Artifactory or JFrog repository management.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and maintain Yocto-based embedded Linux build systems
Develop and manage Bitbake recipes and custom layers for board bring-up and feature integration
Integrate and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions
Manage software artifacts using Artifactory or JFrog
Collaborate with embedded software and hardware teams to ensure reliable build and deployment workflows
Troubleshoot build failures, dependency issues, and integration challenges across platforms

Required Skills:

Proven experience with Yocto Project and Bitbake build systems
Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools, specifically GitHub Actions
Familiarity with Artifactory or JFrog for artifact and dependency management
Strong understanding of embedded Linux systems and software development
Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash, etc.) and automation
Experience working in collaborative, cross-functional environments
Nice to

Have:

Background in board bring-up or BSP (Board Support Package) development
Experience with Docker or containerized build environments
Familiarity with other CI/CD systems (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI)
Knowledge of security and license compliance scanning in embedded workflows
