Job Summary:
Client is seeking a seasoned Linux System Administrator with deep expertise in BeyondTrust Powerbroker to lead the migration to SUDO. The consultant will play a key role in developing and executing a replacement strategy, managing technical documentation, troubleshooting existing deployments, and ensuring knowledge transfer to internal teams.
Job Responsibilities:
Gain a comprehensive understanding of Powerbroker deployment in the client’s environment.
Define a technical approach for the migration from Powerbroker to SUDO.
Document the approach and develop detailed runbooks and migration plans.
Support a proof-of-concept migration to validate the strategy across stakeholder teams.
Troubleshoot Powerbroker platform issues and provide operational support.
Provide advisory services to develop a system replacement plan for Powerbroker.
Review and refine the migration plan with the client, obtain sign-off, and manage execution.
Support existing Powerbroker configuration, policies, and administration.
Conduct knowledge transfer sessions with client stakeholders.
Manage customer-owned activities as assigned related to the system replacement effort.
Required Skills:
7+ years of experience as a Linux System Administrator.
5+ years of experience with BeyondTrust Powerbroker Endpoint Management for Unix & Linux.
Strong understanding of SUDO for elevated privilege management.
Demonstrated experience implementing least privilege policies and defining access controls.
Experience with Powerbroker management console and PBRUN functionality.
Proven troubleshooting skills in resolving policy conflicts and access issues.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with Delinea Centrify and/or Active Directory administration.
Prior hands-on experience in migrating from Powerbroker to SUDO.
Strong documentation skills and ability to guide knowledge transfer processes.
Certifications:
(Not specified, but Linux or security administration certifications are a plus)
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
