Boston, MA Job Description:
Serves as a Linux Systems Engineer with deep SELinux expertise Engineer and support secure Linux systems in an enterprise environment (e.g., Red Hat, CentOS, Rocky Linux) Configure SELinux, write policies, tune, and debug to meet security requirements Harden, maintain, and enhance a secure enterprise environment. Develop SELinux policies, enforcement, and troubleshooting in Red Hat-based OS Align engineering, development, and automation with DoD/IC compliance controls Analyze and optimize system/application behavior in confined SELinux contexts Enforce MAC policies in collaboration with development and security teams Prepare and maintain required technical documentation (system-level and user-level) Support system baselining, technical evaluations, and configuration standardization Perform O&M tasks including OS patching, upgrades, and security updates
Qualifications:
Active Secret Clearance (required) BS in Computer Science or related field 5+ years of experience in Linux systems engineering and administration Strong, hands-on experience with
SELinux:
Writing and managing custom SELinux policies Interpreting AVC denials and troubleshooting access issues Tools like audit2allow, semanage, setroubleshoot, and checkmodule Deep experience with Red Hat derivatives: RHEL, CentOS, Rocky Linux Skilled in shell scripting and Linux command-line administration Proficiency in scripting languages: Python, Bash, Ruby, PHP Experience with IaC and config management tools: Ansible, Puppet, Foreman Experience with containerization and cloud platforms (preferred):
AWS, Azure, GCP Kubernetes, OpenShift Required:
