Job Description

Leidos is seeking a LAN Support Administrator to be part of the mission solution and help lead SSA’s Digital Modernization Strategy. Join one of our high performing teams responsible for maintaining / supporting Windows devices enterprise-wide, supporting the Social Security Administration (SSA) and their mission to meet the changing needs of the public, positively impacting at least 65 million American lives per month. We are a team of forward-looking professionals in need of a strong candidate with these key required skills: Customer Service, Windows Desktop Support (Windows 11), Install of Hardware and Software, Active Directory, Incident/Ticketing System. •Selected candidate must be willing to work at the customer site in Durham, North Carolina 5 days a week. Use strong problem-solving skills and excellent customer service skills to troubleshoot onsite and remote user issues Assist in the acquisition, installation, testing and evaluation of computer hardware and software Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktops and laptops Track inventory, including the location of all systems, software releases and telecommunications equipment Conduct inventory reviews Create “How to” and other technical documentation Administer and troubleshoot SharePoint sites. Brief management, customer, team, or vendors using written or oral skills at appropriate technical level for audience All other duties as assigned or directed

FOUNDATION FOR SUCCESS

(Basic Qualifications) Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or a related field. Additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of degree. Masters or Doctorate degree may substitute for required experience 4+ years of experience installing, configuring, and imaging hardware and software on desktops and laptops 4+ years of combined experience providing technical support for Microsoft Windows, Active Directory 2+ years of experience provide remote user customer support Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust. Contract requirement.

FACTORS TO HELP YOU SHINE

(Required Skills) These skills will help you succeed in this position: Experience troubleshooting hardware/software interface and interoperability problems relating to system patches, updates and enhancements on workstations and laptops. Experience with imaging, configuring, deploying and troubleshooting desktop, laptops, and iPhones. Experience with diagnosing and resolving problems using Active Directory, AD group policy, and ADUC Experience with administering file, print and database servers Experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting desktop and network printers. Experience with meeting room equipment, such as projectors, televisions and teleconference equipment. Hands-on experience using problem incident ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, HP Service Manager, Jira) Demonstrated proficiency in support tools (SRT/Bomgar) Hands-on experience administering/troubleshooting Windows Operating Systems (Windows 10/11, Windows Server 2019/2022), Microsoft Office 365, Adobe Basic experience with creating documentation using SharePoint sites and Confluence Ability to lift, move, and setup workstations; ability lift up to 50 lbs.; Ability to drive (less than 10 miles) between RTP and SSC buildings. (Desired Skills) Showcase your knowledge of modern development through the following experience or skills: Build, maintain, automate, ensure reliability, and implement Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions using system engineering best practices and the latest technologies: Jamf Pro, and Microsoft Intune Use MDM solutions (Jamf Pro, Intune) to enroll, configure, secure, and manage devices Build custom packages (Jamf Composer) to install software per organizational requirements. JAMF certification and/or other Apple Certifications Basic understanding of MECM/SCCM and imaging process. Experience implementing Microsoft Windows patches and security controls. Hands-on experience administering/troubleshooting Windows Server (Windows Server 2019/2022) and installing/maintaining software on server AWS cloud technologies or other cloud platforms Experience working with government or highly regulated customers.
