Systems Administrator (TS/SCI clearance) Position Available In Durham, North Carolina

Job Description:

Systems Administrator Quantico, VA – 100% onsite TS/SCIclearance is required

Major Duties & Responsibilities:

• Plan,install, and maintain computer systems, including physical andvirtual servers, storage area networks and network attached storageon five enclaves.
• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot serverhardware.
• Troubleshoot Domain Controllers.
• Perform performancemonitoring and tuning, upgrades and patching, backup and recovery,as well as troubleshooting and problem resolution.
• Develop andmaintain schedules and plans for system updates and patching.
• Create accounts and groups in Active Directory and create andmodify Group Policy Objects.
• Report on system uptime and SLAperformance.
• Audit server utilization.
• Assist in building,coordinating, maintaining, changing, and updating, the RiskManagement Framework (RMF) Assessment and Authorization (A&A)packages for the five enclaves administered by AFOSI.
• Ensure thatall application deliverables and systems comply with applicableDISA STIGs or Security Requirements Guidance.
• Identify and reportsystem risks.

Qualifications:

• 3 years experience in systemsadministration in a Windows based environment.
• Bachelor’s degreein a related field desired.
• Must be certified at IAT Level II(e.g., Security, or other certification satisfying DoD 8570certification requirements). Microsoft certification a plus.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows technologies, includingActive Directory, Windows Administration, scripting, and Windowsconfiguration techniques.
• Experience with Windows Server 2016,2019, and 2022; MS SQL Server 2016 and 2019; and VMWare ESXi,vCenter, and vSAN, and Horizon.
• Experience administering serversin a virtualized production environment using VMWare vSphere 7.x or8.x technology.
• Experience with PowerShell for command line andscripting to include scripting for account management, patchdeployment, software inventory, service control, and/or objectattribute modification.
• Experience installing, configuring, andmaintaining servers with Microsoft Windows.
• Experience with rackmounted or blade server hardware.
• Experience with ActiveDirectory to include creating accounts and groups and navigating adomain tree
• Experience creating and modifying Group PolicyObjects.
• Experience managing and troubleshooting DNS functions.
• Knowledge of DHCP server functionality.
• Experiencetroubleshooting Domain Controllers and familiarity with replicationissues.
• Experience with a trouble ticket system such as Remedy orServiceNow.
• Experience with security as it pertains to serverinfrastructure, desktops, laptops, servers, firewalls, routers, andintrusion detection systems (IDS).
• Experience with a backupsolution, hands-on experience with backup and restore procedures,and disaster recovery planning.
• Must have experience with RMF andapplying STIGs.
• Working knowledge of IT Systems MaintenanceCompliance processes to include information assurance vulnerabilitymanagement (IAVM).
• Experience creating, reviewing, and revisingsecurity documentation and artifacts.
• Strong understanding ofnetwork fundamentals to include TCP/IP and sub-nets desired.
• Experience with Storage Area Networks desired.
• Experience withDoD IT environment and networks.
• Excellent communication skills,both oral and written, analytical skills to troubleshoot issues,and an ability to conceptualize server infrastructures andconfigurations.
• Must be a US citizen and hold a current TopSecret clearance with SCI access (TS/SCI).
