Day-to-Day:
Implement, configure, and manage Linux-based processes and infrastructure for data warehousing.
Identify system vulnerabilities and access control issues, troubleshoot them, and implement necessary improvements.
Enhance various Linux-based toolsets, scripts, jobs and processes.
Participate in System upgrade projects and non-permitted technology remediation activities.
Proven experience as a Backend Engineer with a strong emphasis on Linux development.
Strong Practical working experience in Linux server configuration and shell scripting.
Solid understanding of
SSH/SFTP
including public key authentication and configuration options.
Practical knowledge of Unix file systems including basics of mount types, permissions, standard tools, pipes.
Working knowledge of Python and preferably also Perl.
Experience using and/or configuring common SDLC tools that support Agile, such as Jira, Jenkins, Ansible.
Practical working experience with relational databases, preferably Oracle Exadata.
Understanding of the Agile methodology.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Passion for automation and continual process improvement.
Minimum 5 years of experience.
Bachelor’s degree in STEM related field.
Practical working experience using ETL tools, preferably Informatica.
Practical working experience using orchestration tools, preferably Airflow.
Experience designing and building data warehouses and knowledge of the data flows involved.
Familiarity with Data Warehouse / Data Mart / Business Intelligence concepts.
