Position Overview We are seeking an experienced OneTrust Cookie Consent specialist for a contract engagement to lead the deployment of OneTrust’s Auto-Blocking functionality across approximately 130 company-supported websites. This role is critical to our enterprise-wide privacy compliance efforts and requires someone with demonstrated success in scalable implementations, cookie tracking, and cross-platform configuration. The ideal candidate is a contractor or freelance consultant (possibly agency-based) who has worked on similar projects at scale and can independently manage implementation, configuration, testing, and documentation. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the setup and implementation of OneTrust Cookie Consent with Auto-Blocking across 130 websites.
- Identify, track, and map cookies and scripts to appropriate source domains or third-party vendors.
- Conduct cookie audits and categorize cookies using OneTrust’s scanning tools.
- Perform rigorous testing to ensure that cookie categories are blocked/unblocked appropriately based on user consent.
- Work in close collaboration with vendor web developers to coordinate site-specific changes, tag insertions, and platform-specific nuances.
- Provide clear documentation for each stage of the process, including implementation checklists, tracking logs, and deployment summaries. Required Skills & Experience
- Extensive hands-on experience with OneTrust Cookie Consent, specifically Auto-Blocking functionality.
- Proven ability to manage multi-site implementations with attention to technical detail and process consistency.
- Strong skills in identifying and mapping tracking technologies, using browser dev tools and other inspection methods.
- Familiarity with CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, Drupal, Sitecore, etc.) and how cookie/tag management integrates with them.
- Ability to work independently and communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Background in privacy compliance, digital analytics, or tag management is preferred. Deliverables
- Fully implemented and tested OneTrust auto-blocking across 130 websites.
- Detailed documentation covering implementation methodology, per-site configurations, cookie mapping, and deployment records.
- Final report outlining testing results and suggested next steps for ongoing maintenance. Availability & Work Expectations Flexible work hours with some required overlap with US – Eastern time zones. Preferred Qualifications
- Documented experience in large-scale OneTrust implementations.
- Familiarity with web platform diversity and tag management tools.
- Immediate or near-term availability.
