Description of Work The IT Division is hiring a Desktop Systems Administrator. This position provides advanced end-user Helpdesk support to all divisions within the Department of State Treasurer, including client-side software and hardware components of core business systems, and supporting third-party Enterprise Solutions. This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) with State Benefits, including health insurance, paid vacation, paid sick time, paid holidays, and retirement. About Us The Information Technology Division (ITD) is to plan, develop, implement, and support the technology systems that meet the Department of State Treasurer (DST) operational needs. The Technical Services section is responsible for the technology infrastructure of the department, including items such as networking, storage, servers, virtualization, backup/recovery, and management of the physical data center. The Desktop Support Team is the largest technical group comprising of six technicians including the Desktop Supervisor. This team supports all desktop applications for the Department of State Treasurer including client-side components of core business systems such as ORBIT, Core Banking, Logics, KAPS/OnBase, Auto Audit, and Bloomberg. In addition, the team supports third party Enterprise Solutions including Microsoft Office, Adobe Suites, Defender Antivirus, BitLocker desktop encryption, and desktop patch management. The team is responsible for providing advanced end-user Help desk support to all divisions within the Department of State Treasurer. Job Duties
Perform end-user workstation support of hardware, software, and account administration via Service Desk tickets, emails, chat, phone calls, remote, and desk-side.
Image, deploy, and maintain user workstation computers and devices.
Devices may include laptops, monitors, peripherals, printers, scanners, i & iPad mobile devices.
Coordinate with users, IT Liaisons, IT Staff, vendors, and teammates in implementing solutions and troubleshooting issues.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities / Competencies Qualified applicants must possess, and application must clearly reflect work experience that demonstrates the following: Experience in providing support and troubleshooting for workstations including Windows OS, software, workstation hardware, and basic networking. Experience in IT administration in systems including but not limited to SCCM (Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager), Active Directory, Exchange Management Console, Microsoft 365 (Azure/Entra, Intune Mobile Device Management, Defender, BitLocker), NCID Administration or other related systems.
Experience in independently researching and documenting IT ticketing systems.
Management Preferences:
6 years of User Support experience.
Experience in onsite and remote IT Support.
