Overview:
The Engineer monitors, supports, and regularly keeps updated enterprise application software. Maintains, monitors, troubleshoots, and optimizes systems for reliability and efficient performance. Participates in system design consulting, platform management, and capacity planning.
Responsibilities:
Automate infrastructure and operations tasks, creating sustainable systems and services through automation and uplifts. Advise end users and application partners on the administration tasks necessary to support a complex compute environment. Document all configurations, changes, and proposed changes. Ensure the control, integrity, and accessibility of compute environments for the enterprise through compliance and usage of industry best practices and methods. Closely monitor the IT Service Management system queue for work orders, tasks, and incidents and respond as per defined SLAs. Provide Advisory level technical support to internal and external users. Act as a team escalate point for Level 1-3 engineers. Troubleshoot problems and take corrective action in a timely and effective manner. Required Knowledge/Skills (7+ years’ experience in): Perform advanced troubleshooting of systems and infrastructure. Demonstrate advanced level of proficiency in Windows and Linux operating systems. Perform advanced administration tasks on systems and infrastructure.
