Systems Administrator Job in Jersey City, NJ Modis is looking for top talent for a Systems Administrator Job inJersey City, NJ with a Fortune500 company. Accountable for ChangeManagement, Incident and Problem management reporting and analysis,creation and maintenance of Service Level Agreements, managementcommunication, client relationship management with assignedapplication areas, and/or coordination of multiple staff involvedin internal/external customer file transmission implementations.

Responsible for coaching and mentoring less experienced teammembers as well as overall team management responsibilities.

Functional knowledge of the application(s) supported andinterdependencies. This individual may lead several teams that maycross project boundaries, but typically will be responsible forboth deliverables and projects.

Technical Skill/Experience Requirements:

Priorities:

Linux based with automation deployment, RedHat Enterprise Edition, Solaris, Shell Scripting, andAIX 6-8 years’ experience in Deploying and Operating Linuxwith a strong bias towards automated deployment and operationsexperiences. Experience supporting

AIX POWER

(6.x, 7.x) and RedHatEnterprise Linux servers (5.x, 6.x) in a large enterpriseenvironment. Proficiency in Shell Scripting and macro’s Storage work in Oracle Rac environments in both Linux andAIX environments. Thorough understanding of storage related technologiesfrom a server perspective; working with provisioned SAN, NAS,external/remote storage media, etc. Solid experience with clustering, load balancing and highavailability solutions (HACMP, GPFS, etc)

Core Skill Set Requirements:

Strong communication skills (verbal and written) with theability to communicate complex issues to technical andnon-technical audiences that include peers, partners, AD partners,senior management, and customers Strong documentation skills with experience designingsystem design diagrams, application flow diagrams, and otherrelated technical documentation.

Leadership abilities:

ability to drive discussions withclient, provides leadership for UNIX team members, and explainscomplex issues to AD partners and senior management. Attention to detail and the ability tomultitask. Must be able to remain focused on critical deliverableswhile remaining aware of simultaneous communications andissues. Professional customer-focused attitude at all times, evenduring situations of disagreement. Understanding of and experience with change managementconcepts, processes, and tools.
