Job Description
The Systems Administrator is responsible for maintaining and supporting the hybrid infrastructure of Protective Industrial Products, encompassing both on-premises and Microsoft 365 environments. This role requires 5-8 years of experience in system administration and a deep understanding of Active Directory, Windows Server, Exchange Online, Azure AD, and Intune. The Systems Administrator will ensure system uptime, security, and efficiency to support daily operations across a global enterprise. •This is an onsite role in Latham, NY•
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Maintain and administer Windows Server infrastructure, including DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy. + Support Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and Azure AD. + Manage user identity, access control, and endpoint configuration using Azure AD and Intune. + Monitor systems for performance, availability, and security incidents. + Perform regular patching, backups, and disaster recovery testing. + Resolve complex system issues escalated from Tier 1/2 support. + Document technical processes, configurations, and solutions. + Participate in infrastructure upgrade and migration projects. + Ensure compliance with IT policies, procedures, and security standards. + Assist in audit and governance activities related to infrastructure systems.
CORE SKILLS/COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS
+ Strong knowledge of hybrid Active Directory environments + Proficiency with PowerShell and Windows-based systems + Experience with Microsoft Intune, conditional access, and endpoint protection + Familiarity with virtualization (Hyper-V, VMware) and networking concepts. + Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills + Ability to work independently and as part of a tea Protective Industrial Products (PIP) is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
