Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and forward-thinking Software Systems Specialist to oversee, maintain, and develop our internal software platforms for a growing construction company. The ideal candidate will not only have strong technical experience managing software systems but also bring a solid understanding of artificial intelligence (AI) applications and how they can be implemented to improve operational efficiency, data management, and decision-making processes within the construction industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and maintain all existing software systems, integrations, and platforms used throughout the company. Evaluate current systems and propose improvements for scalability, security, and performance. Lead software development initiatives, including customization, automation, and integration of new tools and applications. Work closely with company leadership to identify areas where AI technologies can streamline processes, improve forecasting, optimize resource allocation, and enhance project management. Research and present emerging AI tools relevant to construction management, estimating, scheduling, safety monitoring, and customer relationship management. Provide technical support and training to staff as needed. Collaborate with third-party vendors, IT partners, and internal teams to implement and support solutions.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience) is preferred. 3+ years of experience in software systems management, development, and integration. Solid working knowledge of AI technologies, including machine learning, natural language processing, and data analytics. Experience with construction industry software platforms is highly preferred (e.g., Procore, Acumatica, Buildertrend, JobTread, Autodesk, Sage, etc.) Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Preferred Skills (Not Required but a Plus): Experience developing custom APIs and integrations. Familiarity with data visualization tools and BI platforms. Cloud platform experience (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud). Coding experience
