Job Description
Five Rivers Analytics is looking for a System Administrator to work in North Charleston, SC. System Administrator provides technical oversight and assistance to Senior Systems Admins, as well as hands-on support of HW/SW systems. Duties may include, but are not limited to, implementing and maintaining system security and data recovery processes, providing technical support, utilizing automation tools for delivering applications, managing assets, monitoring performance, event notifications and automating workstation support. In addition to the technical knowledge and skills. Must exhibit excellent communication skills. Often working in a team environment with clients and other IT personnel, a SA must coordinate and communicate activities, status updates, outage notifications and schedule information. - Responsibilities
- + Administer and maintain server infrastructure, including routine updates, patches, and system monitoring.
+ Support day-to-day operations by troubleshooting and resolving user and system issues across hardware, software, and networks. + Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls within Active Directory and related systems. + Assist in the implementation and maintenance of virtualization environments (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V). + Perform regular data backups, monitor backup jobs, and assist in recovery operations as needed. + Monitor system security and apply established procedures for incident detection, response, and escalation. + Document system configurations, procedures, and changes to maintain accurate records and support audit requirements. + Collaborate with senior administrators on infrastructure projects, system upgrades, and deployments. + Implement standard IT policies, procedures, and security practices to ensure compliance. + Provide support and guidance to help desk and junior IT staff, escalating complex issues as appropriate. + Participate in periodic testing of disaster recovery and business continuity plans. + Monitor system performance and recommend improvements to enhance reliability and efficiency. + Coordinate with vendors and third-party providers for technical support and maintenance.
- Qualifications
- + Minimum 3 years’ experience as hands-on support of HW/SW systems.
+ Associate degree in a computer related field or equivalent technical certification. + Comprehensive experience in deploying Windows Server patches / STIGs. + Active SECRET Clearance. +
IAT Level II:
GSEC, CompTIA Security+, SCNP, or SSCP preferred. + Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) highly preferred.
