Five Rivers Analytics is looking for a Senior Network Administrator to work in North Charleston, SC. Senior Network Administrator is responsible for the design, implementation, management, and optimization of the organization’s network infrastructure. This role ensures reliable, secure, and high-performance connectivity across all sites, leads complex network projects, mentors’ junior staff, and serves as a technical escalation point for troubleshooting advanced network issues.   • Responsibilities
  • + Design, implement, and maintain LAN, WAN, wireless, and cloud-based network environments to ensure optimal performance, security, and scalability.

+ Monitor network performance and proactively identify, diagnose, and resolve advanced network issues to minimize downtime and maintain service levels. + Administer network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls, wireless controllers) and network services (DNS, DHCP, VPN, VoIP). + Lead network upgrades, migrations, and expansion projects, including planning, execution, and documentation. + Configure, maintain, and optimize network security tools and protocols, such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, NAC, and VPNs, to protect against unauthorized access and cyber threats. + Perform regular network risk assessments, vulnerability scans, and implement remediation measures as needed. + Develop and maintain comprehensive network documentation, including diagrams, configuration records, and standard operating procedures. + Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior network administrators and IT staff. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and service providers on network solutions, incident response, and continuous improvement initiatives. + Ensure compliance with organizational policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements (e.g., NIST, PCI

DSS, HIPAA

). + Manage and maintain network monitoring and management systems to ensure timely detection and resolution of network anomalies. + Participate in after-hours on-call rotation and provide escalation support as required. + Evaluate and recommend new network technologies, tools, and processes to enhance network reliability and performance. + Assist with disaster recovery planning and network-related business continuity initiatives.

  • Qualifications
  • + Relevant certifications such as CCNP, CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent; advanced certifications preferred.

+ 5+ years of progressive experience in network administration and support. + Strong expertise in network design, administration, and troubleshooting for complex enterprise environments. + Proficiency with network security concepts, tools, and best practices. + Experience with network monitoring tools and automation/scripting (e.g., Python, PowerShell) is a plus. + Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. + Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a dynamic environment. + SECRET Clearance
