Job Description

Join our IT team as a Network System Administrator where you will play a key role in designing, securing, and maintaining both our cloud and on-premises infrastructures. This role focuses on managing our Amazon Web Services (AWS) environment while providing essential DevOps support to our development team, and it also involves supporting our Microsoft Windows systems and on-premises network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities AWS & Cloud Infrastructure:

Design, plan, and maintain secure, scalable AWS systems including IAM, VPC, EC2, RDS, Aurora, and MySQL. Provide DevOps support for CI/CD, automation, and infrastructure as code. Manage Ubuntu Linux servers running Nginx and modernize our AWS setup by transitioning to containerized architectures (using ECS, EKS, or Fargate). Monitor and optimize AWS services such as Elastic Beanstalk, ECS, S3, and backup systems.

On-Premises & Microsoft Technologies:

Assist in designing and maintaining our on-premises network, including cabling, firewalls, switches, wireless, and VLANs.

Manage the Microsoft environment:

Hyper-V, Windows Server, SQL Server, DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, Group Policy, and Azure authentication systems. Oversee VoIP phone systems, including setup, SIP trunk management, call routing, and reporting. Support backup and disaster recovery systems (Veeam) and manage related tools like EDR, RMM, ticketing, MFA, and access control.

General IT Support & Leadership:

Provide support on escalated IT help desk issues. Develop and maintain comprehensive systems documentation. Mentor and train junior IT staff as needed. Adhere to standard working hours (8 am – 5 pm, Monday to Friday) with occasional after-hours support for maintenance and upgrades. Required Qualifications Associate or Bachelor’s degree in a related field. 5+ years of experience as a Systems Administrator in a corporate environment supporting both AWS and Microsoft technologies. Strong knowledge of firewalls, networking, backup/recovery systems, and VoIP systems. Proven experience with AWS services and Microsoft technologies, including Hyper-V, Windows Server, SQL Server, SharePoint, Exchange, and Teams.
