JOB PURPOSE/SUMMARY

Summaryof role of team:

  • The purpose of the Compliance & Quality Systemsteam is to support the organization in ensuring compliance with allregulatory requirements, accreditation, risk management, andquality improvement activities.
  • The team interacts with seniorleadership within the organization as well as externalstakeholders.
Summary of position:
  • The Compliance and QualitySystems Specialist will assist the Compliance and Quality SystemsServices Coordinator in conducting departmental functions, such asand not limited to, researching evidence-based practices, qualityinitiatives, program outcome measures, collecting and reportingdata from various data points, assisting in the improvement of theoverall quality of services provided by the Center, andinvestigating Corporate Compliance and Privacy concerns.
  • EachSpecialist is assigned certain focus areas within the team so alllisted responsibilities may not apply.
  • This staff person willinteract with all levels of the organization that employ patientdata in decision-making and daily operations.
  • To perform this jobsuccessfully, individuals must be able to maintain regularattendance and perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
TYPICALWORKING CONDITIONS/ENVIRONMENT
  • This position typically operatesin the office.
  • To complete some job tasks, traveling to otherorganization facility in required.
  • These other facilities includesupportive residential homes, residential treatment facilities, andoutpatient centers.

COMPENSATION
  • Starting salary for this position isapproximately $46,198
  • $51,370 /yr based on relevant experience andeducation.
Schedule:
  • The required schedule for this position isMonday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
  • Hours outside of normalbusiness hours may be required periodically if job duties requireit.
  • Flexibility with the schedule will be considered for specialcircumstances.
  • In-person daily attendance is essential for thisposition.
Travel:
  • This position does require some travel betweenCenter facilities.
  • Most travel is a day trip and not overnight.
  • The employee will not use a center owned vehicle for travel.
  • Musthave a valid driver’s license and car insurance.
Equipment/Technical Competency:
  • This position requires the use ofa computer.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required.
  • Thecandidate should be able to learn and adapt to the use of variousplatforms used for tracking, data analytics, and auditing.
  • Thisposition also requires the use of the electronic medical record.
Equipment/Technology:
  • This position requires the proficient useof a computer.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Compliance & Quality SystemsSpecialist Experience /
Knowledge:
  • Two years’ experience in ahealthcare setting; behavioral health preferred and/or experiencein a compliance related field with preference given to candidateswith experience in behavioral health.
  • Knowledge of federal,state, and payer-specific regulations and policies preferred.
  • Knowledge of healthcare quality and data analytics preferred.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA and privacy of protected patient informationpreferred.
  • Knowledge of corporate compliance program activitiespreferred.

Education /

License:
  • Graduation from an accrediteduniversity or college with an undergraduate degree in PublicHealth, Healthcare Administration, Social Work, Psychology,Counseling or related field.
  • Bachelor’s eligible; Master’spreferred. Physical/Emotional/Social
  • Skills/Abilities:
  • Abilityto hear normal voice and ring tones.
  • Standing, sitting, walking,bending.
  • Reach above shoulder height.
  • Pulling/pushing.
  • Lifting/carrying under 25 pounds.
  • Stair climbing.
  • Must be ableto conduct analysis of data from a variety of sources.
  • Ability tointerpret policies and regulations.
  • Ability to develop creativesolutions to challenges.
  • Strong oral and written communicationskills.
  • Must have understanding of healthcare ethics and a highdegree of professionalism.
  • Must be highly organized and detailed
  • Must be able to work well in a team-based setting as well asindependently.
