Overview
Purpose of Position and Scope of Responsibility:
Administers all functions for the pharmacy and radiology service line under the executive direction of BMHCC Vice Presidents/Market Leaders and Chief Pharmacy Officer. Responsibilities include but are not limited to setting strategic clinical and business direction for pharmacy and radiology services, standardization of operations w appropriate, identification of efficiencies, financial oversight for areas of responsibility, implementation of performance improvement plans, development of action plans to increase patient, physician and employee satisfaction, and administration of operating plans/goals. Works collaboratively with executive leadership, entity leaders, and physician stakeholders to develop d goals to meet specific operational and strategic initiatives and needs as well as establish/implement quality and safety standards and delivery of care models for pharmacy and radiology services.

s to VP-Market Leader and to Chief Pharmacy Officer Works in close collaboration with entity leadership teams, physician constituents, and other Baptist leaders in the advancement of pharmacy and radiology services which plays an integral role in the development and implementation of patient care delivery and business initiatives.
Works in coordination with BMHCC Executive Team regarding all essential functions to ensure clinical, business and operational strategies are in alignment with corporate/market initiatives.
Essential Functions:
Provides administrative oversight, guidance and direction for the overall structure and strategic direction to provideprehensive pharmacy and radiology services to include design and oversight across the Baptist system which are integrated, academically affiliated, and multidisciplinary in support of care delivery models in themunities/regions served. Develops, rmends, and implements the annual operating plans and programs necessary to meet strategic direction working in coordination with entity CEOs and other senior leaders. Provides financial oversight working in conjunction/partnership with entity CEOs and other key stakeholders to ensure efficient resource allocation/utilization, development/implementation of productivity and workload standards, evaluation of skill mix, and capital and operational budget accountability in the administration of clinical and business goals for both inpatient and outpatient settings.
Analyzes variety of data for areas of responsibility to appropriately assess service and operational excellence. Evaluates, develops and implements evidence based “best pharmacy and radiology models/practices” working closely with Vice Presidents, Metro and Regional Operations and other keyanizational stakeholders to ensurepliance with all applicable regulatory agencies.
Develops and implements improvement strategies to identify and streamline processes to deliver the highest quality and safety of care; focuses on strengthening continuous improvement methodologies, enhancing the overall patient/customer experience and care delivery, and reducing inefficiencies by utilizing such initiatives/tactics to augment operational excellence.
Supports standardization through the consistent application of policies/procedures and legalpliance with all regulatory agencies working with human resources, information systems, finance, risk management, etc.
Implements marketingmunication plans and branding campaigns in conjunction with Corporate Marketing Division as a means of increasing market and creatingmunity awareness for hospital and/or ambulatory services/offerings and capabilities.
Serves as the administrative liaison for academic affiliations, research, education, training and program alignment with pharmacy services operations. Performs other accountabilities as assigned or directed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or Pharm. D. degree possessing a current pharmacist’s license in Tennessee, Mississippi or Arkansas. Preferred Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Health Care Administration or related field. 10 years progressive, oue-oriented pharmacy or healthcare management/leadership experience with 5 years experience in a health care setting andpetitive health care market. Extensive knowledge of health care issues, trends, legalpliance, contracts and regulatory standards related to clinical/ancillary services.
Ability to foster collaborative partnerships with administrative staff, physicians, and staff in the implementation and administration of radiology and pharmacy care services which support and promote patient care delivery models and programs within both ambulatory and hospital settings.
