GMC has an opening for IT Helpdesk Technician to support our organization in our Birmingham, AL office. This position is required on-site and will provide fast, useful technical assistance on computer systems. You will answer queries on basic technical issues and offer advice to solve them. Your attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and ability to multitask will contribute to your success.
Essential functions and responsibilities include:
Configures and maintains user desktops, laptops, and iPhone devices and keep them updated with new software and security patches Serve as the first point of contact for customers seeking technical assistance over the phone or email Perform remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions Determine the best solution based on the issue and details provided by customers Walk the customer through the problem-solving process Provide accurate information on IT products or services Record events and problems and their resolution in Kaseya Pass on any feedback or suggestions by customers to the appropriate internal team
Minimum Qualifications:
