Position Summary
This is an advanced technical administration and support position involving operation and support of PC hardware, software, and peripheral equipment. The position also supports desktop imaging. It is responsible for analyzing technology needs, testing, debugging, and documenting software and hardware configurations, and maintaining classroom technology for all campus locations.
Salary:
Appropriate placement on ACCS Salary Schedule E1, Grade 2: $50,680•$68,169
Work Hours:
Monday through Thursday, 7:45 a.m.•5:15 p.m.; Friday 7:45 a.m.•11:45 a.m.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Assists Technical Director with decisions regarding personalputer hardware and software purchases
Serve as Lead IT Technician for all College campuses. Lead peers with duties and assignments with the ability to prioritize assignments.
Assigns, directs, and maintains schedules of Part-time IT workers
Install personalputer hardware and software including unpacking, testing, transporting to user site, and interfacing to network and/or mainputer system.
Imaging large groups or supporting said imaging using applications such as MSCM, Acronis, Ghost, etc.
Maintenance and setup of licensing servers supporting instructional departments’ use of specific software such as SolidWorks, SolidEdge, etc.
Respond to user problems; assist in identifyingputer software and hardware malfunctions and in initiating corrective action to maintain workflow.
Assist in supporting the network including installation and troubleshooting of appropriate cabling.
Provide technical support of the Student Technology Support Center in relation to student devices and loaner devices.
Provide audio and video support as required.
Provide Desk support as required on a regular basis.
Promote positive and productive relationships with service areas, businesses, industries, and agencies.
Create preventive maintenance procedures to insure quality performance and detect early warning signals.
Develop, write, test, and document programs within the scope of knowledge and authority.
Institute corrective action w required, within the scope of knowledge and authority.
Establish standards and practices that encourage effective resource utilization.
Recognize and acknowledge quality work,mitment to customer service, creativity, and initiative.
Promote positive and productive relationships with service areas.
Other duties as assigned by appropriate supervisor.
Perform all duties with professionalism.
Qualifications
A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a CIS/MIS or a related field from an accredited institution and a minimum of one (1) year job related experience supporting audio video and/or installing PC hardware and software, network cabling and supporting users is required OR a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of five (5) years’ experience and special skills in supporting audio video and/or installing PC hardware and software, network cabling and supporting users is required.
Preference will be given to candidates who can demonstrate through their experiences and aplishments:
Effective oral and writtenmunication skills.
Experience and knowledge of enterprise level Desktop Imaging.
Demonstrated experience in hardware resolution.
Demonstrated experience in software resolution.
Demonstrated experience in network technology.
Working knowledge of audio video technology.
Working knowledge of data processing andmon workstation applications.
Extensive experience with Windows operating system.
Extensive experience in workstation hardware and software.
Experience managing or maintaining Active directory.
Ability to minimal supervision/work independently and as an effective team member.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of institutional information.
Ability to make decisions in accordance with institutional policy.
Ability to multi-task and prioritize issues.
Ability to work andmunicate with a variety of people from diverse backgrounds and explainplex information in simple terms
