You’ll represent our company on-site, working directly with clients to set up hardware, run wiring, configure firewalls/routers/VPNs, and ensure full functionality. You must be comfortable working in diverse physical environments, lifting heavy equipment, and being the technical expert at the client’s location. You’ll be the face of our company —someone who can explain solutions clearly to clients, troubleshoot on the spot, and take ownership of full system implementations. Responsibilities Deploy and maintain IT solutions that meet client needs and security standards Install and configure networking hardware: switches, routers, firewalls, VPNs Run network cabling , mount hardware, set up racks, and ensure complete functionality Troubleshoot and resolve connectivity issues, system performance, and network traffic Coordinate IT projects , track milestones, and meet client deadlines Train clients on system usage and provide written documentation Assist sales with technical recommendations Maintain disaster recovery, backup, and systems; Conduct regular maintenance checks on IT equipment to prevent potential issues before they arise. Stay updated on industry trends, tools, and technologies Utilize Remedy for tracking support requests and documenting solutions effectively. Maintain computer management processes to ensure optimal performance of all devices within the organization. Monitor and manage firewalls to ensure network security and integrity. Communicate effectively with team members and end-users to understand their needs and provide appropriate solutions. Requirements Proven experience in IT support or a related field with a strong understanding of computer hardware and software. Familiarity with desktop support practices and help desk operations is essential. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with users at all levels of technical expertise. Lift up to 75 lbs (with assistance) work in tight or elevated spaces (server rooms, ladders, crawl spaces) sit/stand for extended periods of time work in various indoor/outdoor environments Knowledge of firewall management and network security protocols is a plus. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment. A proactive approach to problem-solving with keen attention to detail. Valid Driver’s License.
REQUIRED
Extensive recent hands-on experience with hardware installation, configuring/testing networking equipment (switches, routers, firewalls, VPN), and troubleshooting network issues (4+ years).
