The Information Technology (IT) Technician is responsible for maintaining and supporting computer systems and technology infrastructure across all Goodwill departments, retail stores, donation centers, and other facilities. This role provides hands-on technical support, including diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues, installing and configuring systems, and monitoring system performance. The IT Technician uses the IT ticketing system to manage and prioritize tasks, ensuring timely and efficient resolution of support requests. Strong customer service and problem-solving skills are essential, as the IT Technician will regularly interact with staff at all organizational levels. Reliable transportation is preferred, as the role may require travel to multiple locations throughout the region to provide on-site support. Minimum Qualifications :

Education Associates degree required, Bachelors’ degree preferred Experience Hands-on experience with personal computer support Licensure, Certification, and/or Registration Valid Driver’s License Other Must have excellent communication skills Must have excellent customer service skills Must have reliable transportation Must be on call, including weekends Job Duties Essential Duties % of Time Provide on-site and remote support to troubleshoot and resolve connectivity issues (Wi-Fi, VPN, network switches, etc.) Set up and configure new user accounts, email, and system permissions in accordance with onboarding procedures Perform regular preventative maintenance on IT equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime Assist with software updates, patch management, and basic cybersecurity enforcement (e.g., antivirus, firewalls, user awareness) Collaborate with the IT team on hardware upgrades, migrations, and deployments Maintain documentation of technical procedures, system configurations, and solutions to common issues Support audiovisual equipment setup for meetings, trainings, or special events Provide basic training and guidance to end users on system use and IT best practices Monitor helpdesk ticket metrics and escalate issues as needed to IT Supervisor Other duties may be assigned to meet business demands 90% 10% Supervisory/Decision making Authority Does the position require customary supervision and management of at least 2 or more full-time employees?
