Job Overview The Project Field Technician is a strategic technical position within the organization. This position is responsible for the administration of internal systems, including customer-facing hosted and cloud environments, and providing technical assistance to team members with system and network requests including workstations, servers, printers, networks, AV equipment, and vendor-specific hardware and software. They report to the Infrastructure Manager. This position requires a high level of independence and strong client service skills. Organizational ability is important to keep track of all tasks. Accurate and timely tracking of client work, service calls, and related documentation including timesheets is required.
Primary Functions:
Technical services and support at the network level: WAN, Wireless and LAN connectivity, routers, firewalls, and security. Advanced IT support relating to technical issues involving Microsoft’s core business applications, as well as virtual environments built on Citrix, Microsoft, and VMware. Administration, implementation, and support of disaster recovery solutions. IT Support relating to issues with the internal systems and network infrastructure Drive problem investigations and resolution as required Manage the remote monitoring and management system to ensure consistency and accurate reporting of client devices Administration and maintenance of the remote monitoring and management system: update agent scripts, respond to alerts, monitor dashboard, and periodic system review. System documentation and consulting services to include system/network reviews and recommendations. Ability to deal effectively with stressful situations Ability and willingness to recognize when it is necessary to ask for technical expertise from others without unnecessarily burdening other team members Ability to provide accurate time estimates for how long a task will take Understands that the success of individuals is measured by the success of their teams Ability to quickly learn new technologies through the use of self-study materials and intuition Knowledge, Skills, and/or
Abilities Required:

Professional IT Certifications, such as: Microsoft MCSA, or MCSE, Citrix CCEA or CCIA, ConnectWise CCPA, LTCP, Cisco CCNA, or VMware VCP. Advanced understanding of operating systems, business applications, printing systems, and network systems.
Interpersonal skills:
such as telephony skills, communication skills, active listening, and customer-care. Ability to multi-task and adapt to changes quickly. Understanding of support tools, techniques, and how technology is used to provide IT services. Typing skills to ensure quick and accurate entry of service request details. Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast moving environment. Working Knowledge of different Network Technologies – Cisco, Ruckus, WatchGuard, Fortinet Working Knowledge of Wireless Technologies Server Operating Systems, Enterprise E-mail, Workstation, Windows On-going self-training to preserve professional viability is a must Takes ownership of tasks and follows through to ensure complete resolution Ability to pay close attention to detail while performing technically detailed tasks
Educational/Vocational/Previous Experience Recommendations:
BA/BS, preferably in computer science or a related field. 3-5 years of IT experience.
