Senior Endpoint Services Technician Position Available In Miami-Dade, Florida

Description Core Responsibilities + Serves as the initial point of contact for diagnosing and resolving desktop and network-related issues. + Manages, prioritizes, and tracks support requests, ensuring timely completion of help tickets. + Monitors staff usage and verifies the functionality, configuration, and ongoing performance of desktop computers, peripheral equipment, and software. + Sets up, installs, tests, and certifies desktop configurations, ensuring all necessary software drivers are included. + Performs routine troubleshooting for desktop and laptop systems to resolve technical issues. + Conducts preventative maintenance, including regular checks on workstations to ensure optimal performance. + Handles physical relocation of PC hardware as needed. + Installs and configures software on desktops to meet user requirements. + Ensures software functionality and escalates issues when necessary for resolution. + Decommissions outdated hardware that has been replaced, ensuring proper disposal or recycling. + Leads team efforts in troubleshooting, as well as managing system backups, archiving, and disaster recovery processes. + Maintains detailed records, tracks progress, and documents problem-solving processes, including all successful and unsuccessful actions taken, for future reference. + Repairs and rebuilds desktop computer hardware and printers as needed to maintain functionality. Requirements + High school diploma or equivalent. + At least 3 years of relevant experience in endpoint services or technical support. + Ability to complete tasks accurately and efficiently under pressure, with a strong focus on detail. + Capability to manage and prioritize confidential information with discretion while meeting deadlines. + Willingness to work evenings, nights, or weekends when necessary to support organizational needs. + Dedication to aligning with the University’s core values and mission. + Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team. + Proficiency in computer software, including Microsoft Office Suite.
