We are currently seeking a Network Technician We are seeking a highly motivated individual to add to our current IT staff. Works closely with all employees to provide second-level support. The position will participate in department projects and assist in reaching departmental goals. Work schedule includes rotating on-call work including weekends but otherwise is typically a Monday through Friday 8 am to 5 pm work schedule. Essential Functions 1. Install, configure, and maintain switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points. 2. Troubleshoot Layer 1-3 network issues in LAN/WAN environments. 3. Assist with network upgrades and migrations. 4. Support remote offices and users with VPN and connectivity issues. 5. Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations and diagrams. 6. Escalate unresolved issues to Level 3 or engineering teams as appropriate. 7. Collaborate with vendors and service providers during outages or upgrades. 8. Other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications 1. Associate degree in Networking, Information Technology, or equivalent experience. 2. 2-4 years of hands-on network support experience. 3. Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and subnetting. 4. Familiarity with Cisco, Ubiquiti, or Meraki devices. 5. Experience with structured cabling, patch panels, and rack installations. 6. Ability to read and interpret network schematics and diagrams. 7. Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications 1. Cisco CCNA or CompTIA Network+ certification. 2. Experience with network monitoring tools and ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow). 3. Familiarity with VoIP systems and QoS configurations. 4. Knowledge of security best practices and basic firewall rules.
