Full Job Description Overview:

We’re looking for a motivated NOC Technician I to join our team. This position is a 6-month contract to hire. Working “B” shift (M-F 4:00pm to 12:00am).

Onsite:

Tues, Wed, & Thurs.

Remote:

Mon & Fri. You’ll play a key role in monitoring and maintaining our network infrastructure—including SONET, DWDM, IP, and Ethernet networks. This position is the first line of defense when it comes to identifying and resolving network issues and ensuring service quality for customers.

What You’ll Do:

Network Monitoring & Troubleshooting (80%) Monitor and support edge network devices (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, VoIP systems) Triage network alarms, create and manage trouble tickets Perform remote diagnostics and escalate as needed Troubleshoot data and voice services (DIA, MPLS, SIP, VoIP, etc.) Follow incident and event management processes Communication & Coordination (20%) Work cross-functionally with internal teams, customers, and vendors Communicate updates clearly and timely Stay current with standard operating procedures (SOPs) Assist with other tasks as directed by NOC leadership

Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent (Associate degree preferred) 1+ years of experience in IT or telecommunications (preferred) Basic knowledge of network concepts: DNS, IP subnetting, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), and carrier transport technologies (T1s, fiber, DWDM) Exposure to voice technologies (TDM, VoIP, SIP) a plus Certifications (Cisco, Ciena, Fortinet, etc.) are a bonus but not required #tech
