Job Summary:

Supports and maintains in-house technology equipment including installing, configuring, diagnosing, repairing and upgrading all District hardware, peripherals and mobile devices ensuring optimal performance on the hardware side of operations. Additionally, knowledge of installing, configuring, and supporting the local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and Internet systems for daily support of the Center School District.

An employee in this position may be called upon to do any or all of the following essential duties:
Leading, mentoring and coaching other technology team members.
Communicating ideas for improving company processes with appositive and constructive attitude.
Ability to prioritize workflow and organize diverse/complex material as well as hand multiple, competing and changing priorities while performing effectively without supervision and on time.
Taking ownership of end user issues reported and see problems through to resolution.
Maintain, install, upgrade and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network systems.
Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with end user equipment such as SMART boards, Interactive Flat Panels, projectors, desktop computers, laptops, printers and more.
Support mobile devices such as iPads, Chromebooks, laptops, etc. for all district staff and students.
Install, upgrade, network printers.
Work on cabling issues in ceilings and walls including terminating and punching down in panels.
Assist in preforming data backups and disaster recovery operations.
Providing recommendations for new or updates to policies and procedures related to technology and services.
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, or other network and system problems, and replace defective components when necessary.
Administrating network systems (phone system, Internet filter, servers, routers, switches, firewall, wireless, security updates and patches, etc.) to ensure availability to all system users and perform necessary maintenance to support network availability.
Monitor network performance and troubleshoot complex issues.
Maintaining currency of knowledge with respect to state-of-the-art technology, equipment and/or systems.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities for Position
Applicants must have the following knowledge, skills, and abilities upon application submission:
Knowledge
Experience with PC hardware and software installation
Active Directory/Azure experience
Local Area Networks (LAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN), and software support systems.
Entry level scripting experience a plus
Skills

Strong organizational skills.
Strong customer service skills.
