Rapier Solutions, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Video Teleconferencing (VTC) Technician to join our onsite IT support team for a U.S. Army Reserve Command direct reporting unit. This unit provides vital command and staff operations support to Army Reserve leaders and national decision-makers. As a VTC Technician, you will be a key contributor in managing and supporting the enterprise VTC infrastructure across the Army Reserve. This role requires hands-on technical expertise, effective collaboration with cross-functional IT teams, and a commitment to delivering secure, innovative, and user-focused conferencing solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide on-site support for VTC systems, including setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Schedule and manage audio/video conference bridges. Facilitate the operation of secure and non-secure video conference rooms. Configure and integrate VTC endpoints and infrastructure components. Troubleshoot and resolve audio/video connectivity and quality issues. Support and maintain secure ISEC components and classification switches. Generate operational reports and deliver training to end-users as needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

In-depth experience with Cisco VTC units and Cisco TelePresence Management Suite (TMS). Strong understanding of Microsoft Teams integration with VTC environments. Experience with Portable Desktop VTC User Equipment. Familiarity with HDX codec functionality and operations. Proficiency in configuring and supporting VTC infrastructure equipment.

Hands-on experience with:

Audio/Video bridging equipment ISEC Secure/Non-Secure Video Network Classification Switches Meeting Room Manager scheduling tools Room automation systems Working knowledge of: SIP and H.323 video protocols Converged technologies (VoIP, EOIP) IP networking fundamentals (LAN/WAN) Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in IT infrastructure support, VTC systems, and conferencing technologies. Excellent technical documentation and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
