We pride ourselves on being industry leaders in cybersecurity, server virtualization, enterprise data storage, and sustainable technology systems. This position is for a Hybrid-onsite Systems Technician to support clients in the Statesville to Mooresville areas. CIT operates in a fast-paced, intense work environment, and supports clients during and after hours (according to a rotating on-call schedule.) Requirements for this position demand far more than just technical skills; this position requires a positive, energetic, and engaging person with experience in the ever-changing world of IT support. An ideal candidate should have a high level of flexibility and creativity while being able to work independently and in a team environment. Being detail-oriented is required along with the ability to quickly analyze a problem for resolutions and using forethought to implement corrective actions to improve service delivery and avoid reoccurrence. The position may require the performance of other related duties as assigned. o Provide onsite/remote support to existing CIT customers within SLAs for support of workstations, software systems, servers and basic support and troubleshooting of LAN/WAN network systems. o Serve as escalation point for all level one techs. o Work to resolve NOC tickets for all client environments. o Make note of reoccurring issues and work with the team to resolve them collaboratively. o Support and enhance key processes & documentation. o Escalate advanced technical issues to the appropriate resource(s), using the escalation process. This position does support after-hours coverage of servers and emergency coverage of end-users on a rotating schedule. You are expected to follow the latest On-Call Coverage Policy outlined in the handbook. Knowledge and Experience Required (4-6 years) Microsoft Active Directory (including GPO/GPP) TCP/IP network theory, network equipment and network operation VPN systems Microsoft Windows operating systems (10 and 11) Microsoft Server operating systems (Server 2012 and later)
Desired:
VMware vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V hands-on experience Apple OS-X (workstation) experience Linux operating system Backup Systems MSSQL and/or MySQL administration and maintenance Disaster Recovery or Site Recovery best practices This position will be required to maintain the requisite third party industry certifications. Network Systems Certification (A+, Linux+, MCP, CCNA, and VCP or equivalent experience) •These certifications change from time-to-time based on vendor/manufacturer programs. The equivalent certification may be substituted for those on this list. A more senior engineering certification may supersede those on this list. 1. Onsite/remote customer support 70% 2.
