Position Summary:
The Installation Service Technician is responsible for leading the end-to-end implementation and optimization of POS and payment processing solutions, ensuring operational excellence and high customer satisfaction. Acting as both a project owner and customer advocate, this position drives the organization’s consistency and scalability of installation processes. The role is vital in reducing system downtime, enhancing deployment efficiency, and supporting long-term business growth by proactively identifying technical issues, improving workflows, and contributing to best practices. Cross-functional collaboration and continuous process improvement are central to success in this position, positioning it as a key contributor to the company’s ability to scale and deliver a premium customer experience.
This Position is Accountable for:
1. Leading End-to-End Implementation Execution Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of POS and payment system deployments to ensure timely, high-quality installations. Facilitate a seamless transition to post-installation support, ensuring customer readiness and satisfaction. 2. Delivering On-Site Service & Post-Installation Support Provide expert on-site troubleshooting, diagnostics, and system enhancement services post-deployment. Perform software updates, equipment adjustments, and supplemental user training as required. Collaborate with Support Teams to ensure integrated, issue-free resolution paths. 3. Owning Installation Issue Resolution Take full accountability for resolving technical issues arising during and after system installation and training of the POS. 4. Optimizing Implementation Workflows Maintain precise documentation of CRM deployment activities, configurations, and support actions. 5. Enabling Organizational Scalability and Operational Excellence Drive consistency in installation practices across all deployments to support business scalability and client confidence.
Educational Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certifications preferred. Knowledge, Experience, and Skill Requirements;
- Maintenance & Repair, Troubleshooting, and Field Service skills
- Experience in providing excellent customer service
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in technology or the related industry is desired
- Experience in restaurants or the related industry is desired
- General understanding of computer networks, including devices, installation, and setup
- Technical certifications or relevant training are beneficial Physical Demands/Work Environment
- Frequent computer use, sitting/standing as needed.
- Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and climb ladders as required for installations.
- Handling electronic equipment and working with your hands.
- On-site work at restaurants and retail locations.
- Occasional overnight or weekend travel required.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
Job Types:
Full-time, Temporary, Temp-to-hire Pay:
$15.00 – $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
