Jackson, SC. The candidate for this position will work within our team to support our government Inside and Outside Plant program with our Fort Jackson client. As a ISP Technician you will be an integral part in ensuring the successful operations and maintenance of the Telecommunications.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTION
Call Manager and Unified Communications systems Expert in technical support for existing and growing VoIP networks System upgrades, and equipment purchases GFE NetOps capabilities to execute VoIP/VoSIP responsibilities and functions Manage and maintain the Call Managers, Gatekeepers and Gateway equipment, if applicable, on all networks. Monitor and identify capacity, quality and performance issues for VoIP traffic to ensure continued, uninterrupted operation of telephony systems. The Contractor shall prepare, maintain, and review circuit level voice IP drawings and coordinate with Government representatives to develop VoIP Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTP) for VoIP implementation on installations. Perform analysis of VoIP degradations and failures, and then provide trend analysis and recommendations to the Government to avert future issues Provide the IA section with completed and accurate VoIP Diagrams. The Contractor shall possess Professional Certification(s) for the supported VoIP/VoSIP equipment and/or systems identified in this task order. Assist and backup to the VOIP Engineer Physical Requirements Predominantly indoors in normal office environment Must be able to sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel and reach Must be able to climb telecommunication towers Must be able to speak, write, read, and understand English May require frequent computer use for several hours at a time Frequently work at fast pace with unscheduled interruptions Must have visual acuity Must be able to lift up-to 25 pounds
