ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Configure a DHCP server with scope options and reservations to implement with endpoint devices.
Examples:
Computers, security cameras, access points, and access control devices. Be able to use Google Vault to research students’ email history when requested by a principal. Be able to install the latest server operating system on a physical host and turn into a hypervvirtual server. Be able to install the virtual machines on the physical host and install the correct application to be used. Be able to install a print server and add network printers to be able to be deployed via group policy. We are currently monitoring, installing, and configuring 75 networked print devices. This does not include local print devices. Support network copiers with scan and fax capabilities. Know how to use Active Directory and be familiar with the FSMO roles.

This involves installation, wiring, configuration of camera devices, and server implementation. Knowledge of T-568A and T-568B wiring standards as well as IEEE 802.1x standards. Working experience with HDMI, Display Port, RJ45, RJ11, Coaxial, USB-C, USB, Serial, RS232, Fiber Optic SC, Fiber Optic LC, Single-Mode Fiber, and Multi-Mode Fiber cable and connector types. Knowledge of implementation of 1U and 2U server units, as well as tying them into a KVM switch. Knowledge pertaining to UPS devices. Former experience installing, diagnosing, repairing, and replacing UPS devices and components. Knowledge of NTP servers and services as well as the default protocol. Experience with VOIP phones. These tools include but are not limited to wire crimpers, optical fiber identifiers, punch down tools, tone generators, RJ45RJ11 crimpers, etc. Ability to lift and climb ladders up to 40 feet as required. Ability to lift up to 100 pounds. Ability to properly label devices and network lines/patch panels. Identify and resolve physical network issues. This could include improper placement of patch cables, improperly punched down Cat 6 cables in a patch panel or wall jack, as well as an array of other possible issues. Ability to configure computer BIOS settings to Department standards for PXE boot/ UEFI requirements Ability to maintain and upgrade/install software/firmware patches for Aruba Access Points using the virtual controller or Aruba Central. Ability to update and maintain Aruba switch firmware using HP-IMC. Ability to install modules and transceivers in Aruba switches. Ability to configure Aruba switches. This includes using Telnet to set the correct IP address and configure VLANs, as well as other configurations using the department standards. Knowledge of how to enable Telnet client on a Windows workstation. Knowledge of how to install .Net Framework 3.5 on a Windows workstation. Advanced understanding of VLANs and their role in network operability. Create district graphic designs for desktops, letterheads, and web page requirements. Install and configure multiple servers including but not limited to FTP server, MyPassword Server, Help Desk Server, Print Servers, Domain Controllers, DHCP Server, User Lock Server, Kantech Server, Azure Server, One Sync Server, MECM Server, etc. Knowledge pertaining to server backups and restorations using backup and restore files. This would also be used to server upgrade instances. Set up custom field mappings using One Roster to allow nightly syncs with Active Directory using a Google Sheet. This service package includes Active Directory Users and Computers, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, Print Services, Hyper V, IIS Services, LDAP, etc. Ability to properly create .VHDs and assign them to the correct network file share path. Knowledge of Classlink umbrella (Classlink, One Roster, OneSyncLive) and how they all interconnect together and with other services and platforms in the district. Advanced understanding of how the Classlink umbrella syncs with other software platforms.
