SUMMARY:

Responsible for installing and maintaining network systems, including file servers, application servers, routers, and switches. Designs user profiles and complete desktop images. Ensures compliance with software license agreements.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Education:

Related field experience preferred.

Licensure:

N/A

Certification:

MCP/CompTIA certification or related field experience preferred

Experience:

Experience in managing network resources for 100+ nodes on a

TCP/IP WAN

preferred.

Knowledge/Skills:

Skilled in use of all major computer applications.
Skilled in network design and development
Knowledgeable in hardware/software design and functions.
Verbal/written communication skills.

EQUIPMENT

Computer, fax, copier and any other equipment required to perform the functions of the position.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Demonstrates competency in items listed in “Frontier Health Level III Technical Support Skills Evaluation”, including network fault detection, DNS debugging, WAN TCP/IP address management, and DHCP management.
2. Responsible for the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of network resources, including network server operating systems, routers and switches.
3. Develops user profiles that provide appropriate access to server resources.
4. Develops desktop station images that allow mass deployment of applications or changes in configurations.
5. Monitors utilization of desktop resources and makes recommendations to appropriate personnel when the use of local storage media may threaten confidentiality, introduce hazard to the network infrastructure, or create the hazard for significant data loss.
6. Provides basic information systems training for assigned areas.
7. Ensures that use of agency software is within the limits of each software licensure agreement.
8. Attend and participate in regularly scheduled staff meetings and individual program plannings as needed.
9. All other duties as assigned.
