DTCC offers a flexible/hybrid model of 3 days onsite and 2 days remote (onsite Tuesdays, Wednesdays and a third day unique to each team or employee). The impact you will have in this role: The Product Owner is responsible for translating the product vision into squad deliverables to achieve the product strategy, aligned with enhancing value to the client. This is done through managing scope and product backlog in collaboration with the squad, Product Manager, clients (internal/external) and key team members.

Your Primary Responsibilities:

Translates the vision and the roadmap into squad deliverables and release plans Handles the squad’s work:

  • Creates and refines the backlog with the squad to provide the right level of detail at the right time to achieve definition of ready (preparation for development)
  • Continuously accepts or rejects completed work, according to acceptance criteria
  • Seeks feedback from collaborators and clients and incorporates into future backlog items Brings the voice of the client (external/internal) into the squad and the voice of the squad to the organization Cultivates relationships with critical team members to maintain alignment to achieve strategic goals Evaluates shared issues, risks, and dependencies for resolution Incorporates and prioritizes technical work, as required, to deliver on release objectives Enhance delivered value by evaluating implementation alternatives and considering impact of cost, schedule, and risk profiles.

Attends and participates all squad and tribe meetings (example. Sprint events, QTR) Drives release roadmaps and objectives Product Owner and Product Manager Overlap Shared Responsibility and Ownership Drives product vision and strategy Develops product case Links between the customer, the organization and the product owner Aligns organization with product positioning and results Anticipates market needs Drives sprint objectives Establishes story acceptance criteria Handles scope and backlog through grooming and epic/story refinement (with the squad) Aligns squad with customer requirements Link between the product manager, critical team members and the squad

Qualifications:

Minimum of 8 years of related experience Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred Talents Needed for

Capable of communicating and influencing all collaborators (technology, clients, finance, integration, sales, ops) to consistently deliver the right products and solutions Exhibit solid understanding of Agile Software Development (primarily Scrum and Kanban) principles and techniques Understand and use applicable work management tools (i.e. JIRA) for decision making and collaboration Drive creative and problem-solving activity with all participants and partners Knowledge of financial services operations, in particular Post Trade Processing, trends and user demands Complete the Product Vision and effectively translate into Product Roadmap and Backlog items to deliver the highest value The salary range is indicative for roles at the same level within DTCC across all US locations.
