Product Owner/Sr Product Owner – Order Management System As a Product Owner at Ashley Furniture Industries, you will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between business and technology, driving product strategy and execution within our Order Management System capabilities. You will be responsible for helping to define product vision, manage the product backlog, and ensure the delivery of high-value features that align with business goals and customer needs. Backlog Management:
Own and prioritize the product backlog to ensure clarity and alignment with engineering.
Requirements Gathering:
Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into clear user stories and acceptance criteria.
Sprint Ceremonies:
Participate and lead in sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews and retrospectives.
User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Assist in planning and conducting UAT to ensure product features meet acceptance criteria.
Stakeholder Communication:
Communicate regularly with Distribution, Warehouse Operations, Customer Service, and other stakeholders to provide updates on product development and gather feedback.
Documentation:
Maintain detailed documentation of product features, business processes, requirements, and changes.
Delivery Team Support:
Partner with engineering and vendor teams to deliver product increments through iterative development cycles.
Product Validation:
Facilitate sprint demos to demonstrate delivered value to stakeholders, validate product increments against acceptance criteria, and collect feedback for future iterations
Seamless Integration:
Ensure seamless integration between OMS, WMS, ERP, and third-party systems
Performance Monitoring:
Monitor product performance and user feedback to inform future development efforts.
Team Collaboration:
Ability to work effectively within a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Job Qualifications Education:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Experience:
3+ years of experience as a product owner, product analyst, or similar role, in Distributed Order Management solutions.
Background in B2B Distributed Order Management preferred. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Deep understanding of Distributed Order Management workflows.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
Proven ability to translate business objectives into a structured product strategy and deliverable work items.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.
Proficiency in product management tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello, Aha!) and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum).
Proven ability to work with engineering teams to estimate user story effort and complexity, enabling effective sprint planning and predictable delivery.
Strong track record of successfully prioritizing conflicting demands and driving clarity from ambiguous requirements to deliver customer value.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
