Contract Key Responsibilities:

Document and translate business requirements into features and user stories. Capture, analyze, organize, and prioritize the product backlog, including features, user stories, and acceptance criteria for complex initiatives. Serve as the ‘voice of the customer’ with delivery teams, ensuring the product aligns with customer needs. Collaborate with a cross-functional team of designers, business analysts, developers, testers, and others to develop and execute Product Roadmaps and Release Plans. Provide explanations and information to Agile teams, stakeholders, and managers. Prepare and present information to leadership for decision-making. Provide weekly status updates to leadership. Promote and drive an agile development approach within teams. Lead, build, and maintain a backlog of system and business requirements to quickly react to additional enhancement capacity. Provide direction to business/capability/product analysts and scrum team members to ensure the highest value is delivered. Manage, prioritize, and assess the impact of defects and issues, including providing key input on decisions to fix or defer.

Preferred Qualifications:

2+ years’ experience as a Product Owner in an Agile software development environment. 1+ years’ experience with medical claims, preferably within the COSMOS platform. Basic understanding of Healthcare/Medicare. Experience with the Rally Agile Development Tool. Proven track record of implementing software from ideation through to successful delivery. Strong understanding of Agile methodology. Ability to evaluate capabilities and translate business requirements. Experience facilitating meetings and presenting complex concepts to clients/customers. Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio). Experience collaborating with business partners in a matrix organization. Proven ability to work directly with senior-level business stakeholders. Excellent communication skills to convey complex and technical issues to diverse audiences.
