K12Tutoring is an exciting new startup within Stride’s portfolio of companies, focused on building and scaling an innovative educationalplatformthat connects tutors and students. Our aim is to enable students to achieve their educational goals through receiving high-quality, personalized online tutoring from expert, certified teachers. Over time we plan to expand thisplatformfurther to serve a broader set of educational needs for a wider range of customers. We are seeking a passionate and experienced Product Owner to join ourK12 Tutoringteam and champion the success ofourproducts. You will be instrumental inrefiningourproductroadmap,supportingcross-functionalproduct and engineeringteams, and delivering innovative solutions that delight our users and achieve business objectives. As aProduct Ownerwhoseroleincorporates someresponsibilities of aBusiness Analyst, you will possess ablend of strategic vision, user empathy, and analytical prowess, enabling you to bridge the gap between business needs, technicalpossibilities,and user aspirations.

This role reports to the Principal Product Manager, K12 Tutoring.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Support theteam’sProduct Manager in developingand maintaininga product roadmap and backlog, including gathering customer and stakeholder feedback, prioritizing planned and potential effortsand regularly communicating opportunities and progress against the plan. Prioritize product features and initiatives based on their impact on users and the business. Work closely withcolleagues across product,engineering, design,research,operations,and marketingto translate product vision into actionable requirements. Create and refine user stories, epics, and acceptance criteria. Manage the product backlog, ensuring it is prioritized and refined based on changing needs and evolving market conditions. Partner with Scrum teams to deliver high-quality features on time and within budget. Partnerwith Product Manager and Scrum Master tofacilitate sprint planning,grooming, demos,and retrospectives. Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and measure the success of product initiatives. Identify and mitigate risks and roadblocks throughout the development process Gather and analyze user requirements, stakeholder feedback, and market data. Define product specifications and ensure they are clear, concise, and measurable. Conduct cost-benefit analyses and recommend solutions that maximize value for both users and the business. Be the passionate voice of the user within the product team. PartnerwithUX colleagues toconductuser researchas needed, gatheringfeedbackand translatingit into product requirements. Champion user-centric design principles and ensure product decisions are always informed by user needs. Conduct initial triage into post-production defects to ensure that they are prioritizedappropriatelyandsent to therelevantcolleague(s)for investigation. Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) as needed toensure that completed work meets business and user requirements.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

: Three(3) yearsof experience as aProduct Ownerand/orBusiness Analyst Demonstratedproficiency in eliciting, analyzing and documentingproductrequirements Experience providing strong product execution leadership for complexprojects Experience leading technology-based product management initiatives Passionate and skilled in gathering and interpreting user perspective so that requirements and design reflect real needs Experience collaborating with internal and external technology partners as well as non-technical stakeholders Excellent communication, negotiation, leadership, influence-management, and problem-solving skills. Previous success working withAgile software development teams (especially Scrum and/or Kanban) Experience with Agilemethodologies and development tools such as JIRA, Confluence Experience with online collaboration tools such as O365, Google Docs,Miro,Figma, etc. Microsoft Office(Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, etc.); Web proficiency Ability to travel5% of the time Abilitytoclearrequiredbackground check

Compensation & Benefits:

Stride, Inc. considers a person’s education, experience, and qualifications, as well as the position’s work location, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value when determining a new employee’s salary level. Salaries will differ based on these factors, the position’s level and expected contribution, and the employee’s benefits elections. Offers will typically be in the bottom half of the range. We anticipate the salary range to be $66,379.50 to $170,037.60. Eligible employees may receive a bonus. This salary is not guaranteed, as an individual’s compensation can vary based on several factors. These factors include, but are not limited to, geographic location, experience, training, education, and local market conditions.
