Red Hat’s Core Platforms Engineering team is looking for experienced Scrum Masters to help transform the Core Platforms Engineering organization. You will be responsible for educating and running ceremonies for multiple Scrum teams for some of the brightest engineers in the open source community. As part of our team, you’ll focus on Community Linux Engineering, the team responsible for Fedora Linux, EPEL, and more. In your role, you will collaborate closely with members of product engineering as well as a vibrant team of Agile Practitioners with a mission to help Core Platforms in its Agile Transformation.

What you will do:
  • Form and facilitate multiple Scrum Teams, seeing them through the four stages of team development.
  • Create an environment of co-delivery and shared responsibility across the organization.
  • Work with other Agile Practitioners in their overall mission to help Core Platforms in its Agile Transformation.
  • Provide as needed training and publish documentation that supports these efforts.
  • Identify and help the team understand skills such as relative estimations and continuous improvement.
  • Focus on respectful adoption of agility through the identification and resolution of existing challenges.
  • Help the team become self-sufficient in the use of Scrum.
  • Improve channels of communication, use of metrics.
What you will bring:
  • Agile project management skills evidenced by industry experience or recent certification
  • with strong background in Scrum (For example PMI-ACP or new PMI-PMP, Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Certified Scrum Professional (CSP), or equivalent)
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, including both oral and written communication, mentoring, coaching, collaboration, negotiation, and team building
  • Sufficient level of technical background to provide highly credible leadership with development teams and to be able to accurately and objectively evaluate complex project risks and issues
  • Demonstrated track record of delivering software products to production, coaching teams & programs at varying maturity levels.
  • Creative approach to problem solving; ability to focus on details while maintaining the big picture view
  • Data driven analysis skills for measuring health of strategy-to-delivery
  • Experience with Jira
  • Understand, appreciate, and/or have experience with Open Source software development and community participation The following are considered a plus:
  • Knowledge of the Red Hat products and application container technology
  • Experience or knowledge of Large Scale Scrum (LeSS)
  • Prior experience with Fedora Linux, whether as a user or a community member, will be helpful. The salary range for this position is $84,400.00
  • $134,970.
