Lead Scrum Master 3.6 3.6 out of 5 stars Iselin, NJ About this role: The Lead Scrum Master within the Corporate Risk Portfolio will drive the successful delivery of complex, high-impact initiatives across a Scaled Agile environment. This role requires a seasoned Agile practitioner with a strong leadership presence to guide multiple Scrum and Kanban teams, ensuring alignment with enterprise goals and risk management priorities. In this role, you will: Use data to assess Agile maturity, optimize team velocity, and identify performance improvements. Coach teams to deliver using Agile practices while meeting SDLC, risk, and compliance requirements. Collaborate with discipline managers on governance and with product owners to refine backlogs across teams. Coordinate with non-Agile teams as needed. Facilitate PI planning, Agile ceremonies, and drive adoption across all levels. Communicate delivery progress, escalate risks, and remove impediments. Adjust team composition to enhance performance and development. Serve as a hands-on Scrum Master/Kanban Lead for Agile teams using both frameworks Expert in JIRA, Jira Align, and Agile Registry for maintaining transparency and tracking Optimize team velocity, feature cycle time, lead time, and WIP limits Identify and remove systemic impediments; guide escalation to prevent blockers Foster a culture of IT-led innovation and continuous improvement Promote Agile practices and product management within supported business teams Coach cross-functional teams, product owners, and developers to strengthen Agile execution Ensure compliance with SDLC, ECM, and technical standards for assigned applications Support delivery of features that meet acceptance criteria and definition of done Drive achievement of Agile Transformation OKRs, including engineering and non-engineering metrics Report on Agile OKRs and demonstrate year-over-year improvement in team maturity Collaborate with stakeholders and Agile transformation leaders to build product-focused teams Mentor junior Scrum Masters and Kanban Leads; provide training and support Partner with peers and managers to resolve issues and align on goals
Required Qualifications, US:
5+ years of Agile Scrum Master experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education 5+ years of experience facilitating Scrum Ceremonies (Daily Standup, Sprint Planning backlog refinement and Sprint Retrospective meetings) and/or Kanban 5+ years of hands-on experience building dashboards with Jira/Confluence software or similar 4+ years of leading and coaching teams on end-to-end project execution Desired Qualifications, US Proficient in AI tools to support Scrum/Kanban Agile delivery (e.g. Google AI, Notebook LM, Tachyon) Certified SM, or/and other SAFE Certification Prior experience having worked as a Scrum master where the technology solution is home grown/custom or similar Governance Risk and Compliance related (GRC) solutions

Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location.
