Job Summary:

We’re looking for a proactive and experienced Scrum Master to lead Agile teams building high-impact SaaS solutions in the tax and compliance software space. This role will be instrumental in helping cross-functional teams stay aligned, efficient, and focused on delivering exceptional products that simplify tax filing for businesses and individuals. You’ll work closely with product managers, developers, QA, and analysts to ensure smooth sprint execution while reinforcing Agile principles and a culture of continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives Collaborate with Product Owners to maintain a healthy, prioritized backlog aligned with customer, product, and compliance needs Identify and eliminate impediments to team progress and performance Champion Agile principles and best practices across product and engineering teams Track and report on sprint health using metrics such as velocity, burn-down charts, and team capacity Foster collaboration across teams, especially during cross-functional release cycles tied to tax season deadlines Drive continuous improvement and Agile maturity within the team through coaching and feedback Ensure timely, high-quality feature delivery with attention to regulatory and compliance requirements Support Agile at scale by contributing to the adoption of practices across multiple teams or product lines Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, or a related field Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), PMI-ACP, or equivalent Agile certification 3+ years of experience as a Scrum Master in a SaaS or software development environment Deep understanding of Agile frameworks and ability to tailor practices to fast-paced product teams Proficiency with Agile project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence) Excellent communication, facilitation, and organizational skills Preferred Experience Background in fintech, tax software, accounting, or compliance-driven applications Familiarity with U.S. tax season cycles and coordinating time-sensitive releases Experience working with remote or distributed Agile teams Exposure to DevOps practices, CI/CD workflows, and cloud environments (e.g., AWS) Soft Skills Servant leadership mindset with a focus on team success Strong problem-solving, facilitation, and conflict resolution abilities Comfortable working in fast-moving, ambiguous, and regulated environments Collaborative, empathetic, and driven by outcomes over output
