• SME to join our innovative, customer-focused team in Huntsville, AL. This opportunity is for a potential full-time position, contingent upon contract award. Job Type On-site Summary The Cloud Developer
• SME will support a team that develops, operates, maintains, and enhances a suite of cybersecurity tools deployed across secure enclaves to support incident response, threat detection, and event monitoring.

The team integrates data from centralized and local system sources, ensuring effective and timely responses to cybersecurity events. As a capability development provider, they create new applications, algorithms, and automation to optimize workflows and improve data analysis. Additionally, they collaborate to integrate security requirements into technical solutions and conduct ongoing research to incorporate emerging technologies, enhancing the organization’s overall cybersecurity posture. Their work ensures that tools and infrastructure remain operational, resilient, and adaptable to evolving threats. Responsibilities Provide expert leadership in the development, creation, modification, and maintenance of computer applications, software, or specialized utility programs for cybersecurity. Lead the testing, implementation, deployment, maintenance, and administration of infrastructure hardware and software for cybersecurity. Integrate third-party components, introduce new custom capabilities, modify existing code, recommend process improvements, and automate operations and maintenance tasks. Collaborate with team members to integrate security requirements into technical solutions. Conduct ongoing research to incorporate emerging technologies and enhance the organization’s cybersecurity posture. Ensure tools and infrastructure remain operational, resilient, and adaptable to evolving threats. Mentor and guide junior and mid-level developers, providing technical leadership and expertise. Serve as a subject matter expert in cybersecurity tools and technologies, offering strategic insights and recommendations. Qualification Active Top Secret clearance Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field 10+ years of related experience Required Skills/Technologies Extensive experience with Linux-based environment administration. Proven experience testing, implementing, deploying, maintaining, and administering infrastructure hardware and software for cybersecurity. Strong background in developing, creating, modifying, and maintaining computer applications, software, or specialized utility programs for cybersecurity. Expertise in integrating third-party components, introducing new custom capabilities, modifying existing code, recommending process improvements, and automating operations and maintenance tasks. Proficiency with Splunk, Oracle/SQL-based platforms, and Python.
