Torch Technologies is looking for a Software Developer 4 to support the Aviation and Missile Center’s (AvMC) Integrated Defense Planner (IDP) software development lab. This position offers an opportunity to work on mission-critical software for Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Ballistic Missile Defense Planning capabilities.
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain two government-owned software products: Common Threat Service (CTS) Rapid Parametric Threat Tool (RiPiTT) Contribute to software design, development, testing, documentation, and process improvement Work on containerized applications designed for cloud-based deployments Operate in an Agile development environment, adapting to evolving program needs
Job Requirements:
Master’s Degree in Computer Science with 8+ years of applicable progressively complex software design engineering experience using TypeScript or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science with 10+ years of applicable progressively complex software design engineering experience using TypeScript A current DoD Secret security clearance is required. Experience developing and deploying containerized applications using Kubernetes Software development experience supporting DoD customers (e.g., U.S. Army, MDA) Knowledge of CI/CD automation and DevSecOps principles Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to operate in an Ubuntu Linux environment Must be available for on-site support at the IDP Lab during standard business hours when required
Preferred Qualifications:
