Months Job Summary:

The Windchill Engineering Update Lead will be responsible for overseeing development, documentation, and maintenance of complex software architectures, particularly focused on Windchill workflow enhancements within the Patriot Advanced Capabilities (PAC-3) program. This role aims to remove inefficiencies and align processes with the newly proposed Engineering Change Process for Pre-CCB and CCB format.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead efforts to revise and optimize Windchill workflows for engineering change processing and commitment releases. Contribute to the evolution of software architectures and provide expert guidance on architecture selection for various sites and projects. Act as a consultant and subject matter expert on Windchill modifications, Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools, and application development. Develop and maintain software project plans, schedules, and risk management strategies. Oversee the development of Computer Software Configuration Items (CSCI) and ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards. Manage requirements development, trade studies, and internal/external design reviews. Engage with customers, teaming partners, subcontractors, and suppliers to negotiate requirements and interfaces. Lead supplier/subcontractor management efforts and participate in independent software reviews. Guide integration strategies, defect investigation, and deployment of process and tooling enhancements. Ensure successful implementation of change processing and release workflows across the PAC-3 program.

Required Qualifications:

Experience:

Extensive hands-on experience with Windchill and Windchill modifications.

Expertise:

Strong knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools and application development.

Leadership:

Demonstrated ability to oversee complex software projects and provide subject matter expertise.

Communication:

Excellent ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.

Technical Proficiency:

Deep understanding of software development tools, integration strategies, and workflow management. Education /

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 15 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+13 years’ related work experience, 19 years’ related work experience, etc.).
