You will join a diverse team of junior-to-senior software developers, engineers, and scientists to help create unique solutions for complex problems. Primary Responsibilities Candidates may work closely with a team of engineers and scientists to write software (using primarily C++ and Python) to solve problems in a variety of disciplines to include EO/IR sensor systems. An ability to interface and troubleshoot with hardware via Ethernet, USB, RS-232, high speed I/O, etc. is desired. Candidates are also expected to have the ability to work and communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and have familiarity developing for both Windows and Linux OS. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in software engineering, computer science, or an equivalent engineering or science degree with 4-8 years of relevant experience in a related field or Masters degree from an accredited university in software engineering, computer science, or an equivalent engineering or science degree with 2-6 years of relevant experience in a related field.. Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance. North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville – North Alabama, AL, area. Preferred Qualifications In addition to the qualifications listed above, the ideal candidate should be highly organized, demonstrating the ability to lead small software projects because this position does offer leadership growth potential. The candidate may also fill current modeling & simulation needs, an interest in working multiple projects with intermediate ability in C++ and Python is a bonus along with strong object-oriented design skills, the ability to create design documentation, requirements specifications, and other technical documentation. Preference may be given to candidates with one of more of the following: Recent stellar academic performance Active secret clearance or above; a TS/SCI clearance (with CI Polygraph); Experience with camera interfaces such as Camera Link, CoaXPress, igE Vision, etc. Experience with version control systems such as Git. Familiarity or interest in EO/IR phenomenology. Experience with image processing. Experience with GPU programming and/or CUDA programming. Experience with developing AI/ML solutions; experience with build systems such as CMake.
