Mid-Level Software Engineer Position Available In Madison, Alabama

We are currently seeking aSoftware Engineerto join our team in Huntsville, AL. The selected candidate will be part of the interdisciplinary Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis Group.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and integrate software solutions for joint tactical integrated fire control systems in a collaborative, on-site environment
• Write clean, efficient, and scalable code aligned with established standards and best practices
• Develop and maintain software components for real-time, mission-critical defense applications
• Provide modeling, simulation, and analysis products that will dovetail with products from other team members
• Provide engineering level inputs and assistance to system models already under development as needed
• Interface with science and technology project leads to determine necessary requirements to integrate outside applications and algorithms into the AFSIM framework
• Evaluate system performance using standardized metrics and test methodologies
• Collaborate with systems architects and engineers to ensure seamless integration of software and system-level requirements
• Participate in technical reviews and deliver presentations to Government stakeholders as neededRequirements
• Bachelor’s degree in software engineering or a related technical field plus a minimum of 5 years of related experience. (Master’s degree plus 3 years
• Proficiency with C++, MATLAB, and GitLab
• Strong problem-solving skills with effective verbal and written communication abilities“`{=html}“
• Experience with complex system-of-systems analysis efforts
• Familiarity with DoD operations, technologies, and supporting systems (e.g., sensors, effectors, and networks
• Willingness and ability to travel approximately 10% of the time
• Must be a U.S. Citizen and hold or can obtain and maintain a DoD Secret or higher security clearanceAdditional Desired Experience
• Experience with AFSIM for analysis or software development
• Experience with various sensor/information fusion technologies and approaches (e.g. Kalman and Bayesian filters)
