Position Overview:
The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications(C2BMC) program integrates the Missile Defense System. It is avital operational system that enables the U.S. president, secretaryof defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, andoperational levels to systematically plan ballistic missile defenseoperations. The selected candidate will support the C2BMC DevSecOpsteam in developing and deploying Infrastructure as a Service andPlatform as a Service capability.
Essential Functions:
Effective communicator with excellent writing and presentationskills using Microsoft PowerPoint and Visio drawing tools Responsible for working independently on large projects; atother times, will be in a collaborative team environment Understanding of HP server configuration Work on systems administration-related hardware and softwareissues for different network environments Support deployment of custom software solutions integratingCOTS, GOTS, and developed software Propose system administration process improvement to reduceoverall maintenance requirements Determines systems requirements, input/output processes, andworking parameters for hardware/software compatibility Identifies, analyzes, and resolves program supportdeficiencies Develops and recommends corrective actions May provide technical guidance for database administrators andsoftware developers
Basic Qualifications:
An active Secret clearance is required to start Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline preferred and 5 years ofrelated experience, or a Master’s degree and 3 years of experience,or a PhD and 1 year of experience, or 9 years of related experiencein lieu of a degree may be considered DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher is required tostart Experience with Linux or Windows System Administration Scripting skills in languages such as Bash orPowerShell Experience with automation Knowledge of DevSecOps principles Work with leading DevOps practices and tooling: Ansible Automation Platform, including Ansible Tower HashiCorp Packer and Vault Gitlab CI/CD Nexus Pro Experience in virtualization technology, including
VMware Preferred Qualifications:
Understanding of the software development life cycle Experience with Agile methodology
