Position Summary:

Aegis Aerospace is currently seeking a Software Applications Engineer to join our team supporting the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) under the IRES contract at Redstone Arsenal. This role is critical in supporting and maintaining a suite of enterprise applications in a dynamic, secure environment.

Key Responsibilities:

The candidate will: Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and maintenance for the following applications:

• CAFM (Java/Tomcat)
• CDRLvue (Microsoft Visual Studio, ASPX, SQL database)
• Escheduler (Microsoft Visual Studio, ASPX, SQL database)
• Empower (Perl scripting, GUI, SQL database) Troubleshoot and maintain Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS).

Maintain and optimize Java and Tomcat environments. Develop and support SQL database backends. Implement and support Single Sign-On (SSO) with CAC authentication. Utilize and maintain Cloud Azure and AWS platforms. Support late-night maintenance windows for patching and system updates. Effectively manage conflicting requests and priorities with minimal supervision. Demonstrate a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

Must be a U.S. Citizen Must have 5 or more years of direct software engineering experience Must have experience supporting Microsoft IIS Must have experience with Java and Tomcat Must have experience working in both Azure and AWS cloud environments Must have experience implementing and supporting SSO with CAC authentication Must have, or obtain within 3 months of start date, a current DoD 8570 Level II Certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+ CE) Must have an active

DoD Secret Security Clearance Desired Qualifications:

Experience developing with Microsoft Visual Studio Experience designing and maintaining SQL database backends

Compensation:

Salary Range:

$110,000.00 – $160,000.00 annually. Final compensation is based on experience, education, and directly relevant certifications.
