Position Description:
Gray Analytics is seeking an Air and Missile Defense Software Architectwill work as a member of the Army Program Executive Office Missiles and Space (PEO MS) Integrated Fires Mission Command (IFMC) Mission Command Product Office’s Integrated Battle Command System (IBCS) Futures Capabilities (IFC) product cell. The IFC Architect is a key team member working on the forward edge of new concepts and new Systems of Systems Integration. The IFC Architect is responsible for evaluating and developing software approaches to integrate new and existing defense systems.
Selected candidate must be within recruiting distance or willing to relocate at their own expense to Huntsville, AL.Basic Qualifications
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in engineering, the sciences, mathematics, or a related field
- Minimum of 7 years combined experience within Government/DoD or related experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- US Citizenship Required; Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret Clearance after start date
- Strong understanding of air and missile defense concepts
- Have experience with the following:
- real-time systems and diverse software development
- prototyping and integrating new software interface
- leading problem identification and resolution for both system design and integrations
- investigating and presenting technology solutions to improve performance
- assessing customer and user needs following agile principles
- identifying gaps and opportunities for improvement of existing solutions
- breaking down complex ideas into easy-to-understand tasking
- coordinating needs and priorities with Product and Solution Management
- leading software teams in a large software development environmentDesired Qualifications
- Active DoD Secret Clearance or higher
- ABET accredited degree
- Knowledge or experience in IBCS, PATRIOT, MEADS, THAAD, C2BMC, or AEGIS. JIRA/ Confluence experience is a plus. Familiarity with DevSecOps technologies, concepts, SAFe agile methodologies, and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with Model Based System Engineering
- Prior Software Architectural/Engineering leadership
- The ability to make decisions; enthusiasm; independent critical thinking; and a team attitude are very important.
