deciBel Research has an immediate opening for a Software Engineer in Huntsville, AL.
Position Description:
deciBel Research is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to perform software development activities in support of the Ground-Based Midcourse Defense (GMD) Weapon System (GWS). The software engineer works in Agile-based process within a disciplined DevSecOps environment in cooperation with System Engineering, Cybersecurity, and IT teams to develop high-quality software products.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
Experience Requirements
- 2+ years with Bachelor’s degree; 0 years with Master’s degree. Maximum of 10 years’ experience
- Experience with the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC
- software design requirements, application development, integration, testing, and deployment
- Demonstrated experience in Modeling and Simulation
- Demonstrated experience with C+
- Experience with at least one of the following programming or scripting languages:
C, GoLang, Ada, and/or PythonSpecial Skills Desired
- Strong understanding of C and C++ languages including templates, memory storage, and compiler/linker
- Experience with SQL Database or JSON Database
- Experience with simulated threat environments such as AFSIM or GMDSIM
- Ability to collaborate with systems engineers, hardware designers and integration/testApplicant selected must have an active Secret security clearance, or higher.
Must be a U.S. Citizen.
